On Tuesday 27th March the Senior Syndicate went to Colac Bay to the Takutai o Te Titi Marae.  We were welcomed on with a powhiri then took part in four different cultural activities.

The children made poi and anchor lines, learnt the ukelele, took a look at the local wetland 'O Koura', and listened to a local legend then drew chalk pictures.

The local people of Colac Bay were really welcoming and Colac Bay turned on a stunning day.  Both our students and parents learnt loads throughout the day.

A huge thanks to all the parent helpers, we couldn't have done this trip without you!!

We hope to repeat this trip in three years time.
